Commercial Projects

Wildflower Bakery

For this project I had to create a food service area as well as a retail space that correlated to the food the establishment served. Wildflower Bakery is an inviting space that blends great baking with the natural, and relaxed essence of bohemian design. Everything from natural materials, an earthy color palette, and art from local artists the design of this bakery creates a comforting environment where good food and community thrive. Natural materials such as wood, rattan, and terracotta reflect the earthy color palette. Also having lots of plants and unique art throughout the design helps give this bakery texture, variety in it’s style, and appeal to customers.

Mahan Remodel

For this project my class and I were tasked with redesigning different parts of our art and design building. I was tasked with redesigning Mahan 107 (a classroom) and a study room. This classroom I focused mainly on having it be a drafting room while still including the new and upcoming technology my class and I saw when we visited NBS Reocon . The mediascape by Steelcase is apart of that new tech that would help make this a much more collaborative space for students and professors to be able to share work more efficiently. For the study room I wanted a space that felt very calming allowing students to be able to really focus on their work.

Tidal Brew Cafe

For this project, I was instructed to design a commercial space. It is located within a big, beautiful property located on a beach. The client who would occupy this cafe wanted it to be a place for beach goers as well as local residents. They wanted people of every age to be able to sit inside or outside and be able to relax. This cafe would sell coffee, smoothies, quick bites to eat, and smaller meals such as salads and sandwiches. The client wanted the cafe to have a light and airy feel bringing in colors from the beach scene and other bright colors for the seating areas that would give the space a fun and relaxing feel. All of the seating is upholstered with leather fabric that is easy to clean and maintain.

Office Remodel

My class and I all collaborated on her office remodel as a quick project. All of us met with her and she explained that her office was very outdated and wanted a more refreshing look. Our “client” wanted to an accent wall, a more open and welcoming space for students to met with her in, and to do this remodel with a cheaper budget. We proposed two options through renderings and The renderings are the ones we ended up going with.
